Slime may be all the rage with kids these days but look out slime- here come bath bombs! Kids love digging their hands into their creations, feeling the textures, smelling the scents. With slime, the fun ends when the mixing is complete. With bath bombs, this is just where the fun begins. After the mixing is complete, the mixture can immediately be put into water to see the fun reaction the bath bombs have when they get wet. The rest of the mixture can be formed and stored

Annie's favorite book to read to children is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. This book is full of color and different learning elements. Children count along as the very hungry caterpillar eats and eats until he is finally full. He creates a cocoon for himself and emerges as a beautiful butterfly. If you haven't read it yet you can hear it read aloud by Eric Carle himself by following the provided link. Let us know what you think! The Very Hungry Caterpillar Read

Book pick of the week:
We read lots of books at Calvary Central. One of my absolute favorites is "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. I love reading this book with children in the toddler class because they really get into the sounds and anticipate the story after they've heard it a few times. This book is also great for children up to age four when reading together and for children up to eight when reading on their own. Have you read this book b
