Annie's favorite book to read to children is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. This book is full of color and different learning elements. Children count along as the very hungry caterpillar eats and eats until he is finally full. He creates a cocoon for himself and emerges as a beautiful butterfly. Book pick of the week:
We read lots of books at Calvary Central. One of my absolute favorites is "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. I love reading this book with children in the toddler class because they really get into the sounds and anticipate the story after they've heard it a few times.
